Goodison Park to Host Merseyside Derby | Everton News Daily

Goodison Park will host the Merseyside Derby after Local Safety Group deemed it acceptable for the fixture to take place on June 21st 2020 with a 7pm kick off. There had been concerns that fans would gather outside and breach the social distancing measures but the group in conjunction with the police are now satisfied that that won't be the case. Everton v Liverpool is being screened live on Sky Sports.

In other news Theo Walcott will miss the derby and is expected to be out for up to 4 weeks with an abdominal muscle injury sustained in training. Andre Gomes is expected to be fit for the derby after suffering a minor injury last week.

Everton could be about to loan Djibril Sidibe for another 12 months according to the French media and Maarten Steklenburg has confirmed that he will leave the club at the end of the season.
