How Good Are You at Yu-Gi-Oh? Judging Skill in YGO!

Important to gauge skill for setting goals and improving at Yugioh! Here's a fair, unbiased, and easy way to find out how good you are:

Two major ways to judge skill: objectively and subjectively. Objectively, skill can be measured by looking at a player's accomplishments. You can look at results, which are undeniable, and determine how good a player is relative to others. Subjectively, you can measure skill by looking at your thoughts, actions, and how you play the game.

In this video, and in general, I think this is the fairest way to look at skill. We can look at is in both ways, give ourselves a score between 1-10, and then average those scores together.

Objective Skill:
10. Been to Worlds
9. Have multiple YCS/Nats tops OR ARGCS Wins
8. Single YCS/Nats top OR multiple ARGCS Tops
7. Single ARG Top OR Multiple Regional Top 8s
6. Single Regional Top 8 OR can easily get an invite or multiples
5. Can get an Invite OR consistently top Locals
4. Occasional tops Locals
3. Frequently goes to Locals
2. Plays, but doesn't go to locals
1. Does not play Yu-Gi-Oh!

Subjective Skills
- The Ability to Evaluate Yourself & Your Results
- Tournament Experience
- Willingness to play rogue or meta + ability to succeed with it
- Builds decks based on strong, developed theory
- Excellent timing
- Masterful manipulative & persuasive skills
- Good understanding of rulings and game mechanics
- Excellent sequencing
- Masterful at handling information
- Understanding role within the game + win conditions

Objectively, give yourself a score based on your results. Subjectively, give yourself a single point for each skill/characteristic that you have. Both scores should be between 1-10. Average them by adding them together and dividing by 2.
