Massive Farmer Protest Today In Madhya Pradesh, Heavy Security In Place

Madhya Pradesh is on maximum alert in the view of the farmers' protest, scheduled for today. The Shivraj Singh Chauhan government has deployed heavy security across the state to keep an eye on the situation. In Mandsaur, the epicenter of last year's protest, farmer bodies are planning to block food supply while other farmers are set to go on a 10-day strike. Their demands are for a one-time loan waiver, higher minimum support prices and higher rates for their produce.
