Navy assisting at Police checkpoint in Coldstream, Victoria

Royal Australian Navy personnel are supporting Victoria Police with roadside checks at the Police Control Point in Coldstream, Victoria as part of the Australian Defence Force's (ADF) Operation COVID-19 ASSIST.

The Australian Defence Force is supporting the Victorian Government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

ADF medical personnel are contributing to the testing regime at multiple locations around Melbourne. ADF personnel are also supporting planning teams and more are working with Victoria Police at metropolitan police control points. The support is at the request of the Victorian Government.

The ADF is contributing to the whole-of-government response to the COVID-19 pandemic with a range of personnel and logistics support. Defence has prepared responses to a variety of contingencies through the Emergency Management Australia-led response.
