Russia: Severe winter weather gridlocks Moscow

There was an average of 500 road accidents every hour in the Russian capital of Moscow, Thursday and Friday following a severe snow storm.
At its worst, the longest jam stretched for around 60 kilometres (37 miles) as reported by online road traffic monitoring service Yandex. Yandex rates traffic from 0 to 10, giving Thursday's traffic a worse-possible rating of 10 points. Despite better conditions Friday, many were still forced to take the metro due to multiple crashes.
