The pandemic decade: How scenarios can help us think about the future
Описание
The ANU Crawford Leadership Forum and the ANU National Security College’s Futures Hub hosted Mallika Ishwaran, senior economist from the Shell Scenarios Team, for a discussion on how the policy choices we make today in response to the pandemic will shape the decade to come.
Mallika was joined by Dr Cathy Foley, Chief Scientist of Australia; Professor Frank Jotzo, Director of ANU Centre for Climate Economic and Policy, and Dr Ryan Young, Director of Research & Methodology, ANU National Security College’s Futures Hub to help us consider the pandemic’s possible effects on big policy challenges like climate change, clean energy transitions and digitisation.
We also discussed how scenarios and other futures exercises can help governments and businesses stretch their thinking and make better decisions.
This session is the perfect scene-setter for the ANU Crawford Leadership Forum on 5-7 September.
