"They Can't Handle The Truth!" by Old Fart Rants

The big news is Michael Cohen’s testimony before Congress yesterday. It’s impossible to cover 7 hours of play by play in one video, so I’ll just comment on the things that stuck out to me, and I’m sure my viewers have a lot to say in the comments. Overall what struck me the most is the wretched puke fest the Republican Party has become, and the fact that Trump's crimes as described by Cohen would never have been heard by the American people except for the Democrats winning back the House in the 2018 mid-term elections. Republican used the 1st 10 or 15 minutes of the hearing to try to postpone it! And how dare the Democrats hold hearings while Trump is overseas being played for a fool by the Korean kid with a bad haircut, which by the way bombed completely – the master negotiator got no deal, and cadet “bone spurs” is coming home with nothing to show for his trip. The Republicans didn’t ask a single question about Trump during the entire hearing! All they did was attack Cohen's credibility over and over again. Cohen told them that the reason he's in trouble now is because he protected Trump - exactly what the Republicans do. I thought it was great when Cohen called them out for doing the exact same thing he’s going to jail for! They cited the SDNY’s conclusions about Cohen to attack him over and over for lies & crimes which the same SDNY concluded Trump directed him to do, meaning Trump is guilty of the same thing! Cohen is going to jail for lying and protecting Trump, but Trump’s not going to jail is he? Anybody see a problem here? It looks like the SDNY might be Trump's biggest nightmare. Cohen described at least 6 to 8 crimes and he brought receipts to back them up. Just the smoking gun check written while Trump in office (a felony) should be basis for impeachment proceedings. It was truly pathetic watching the Republicans hypocritically complain how they could be meeting about “more important things for the American people” like infrastructure and child separation. What a joke! And it was great to see Chairman Cummings shoot that down. The Republicans had complete control of the government for 2 years, and what did they do? Nothing, except cut taxes for the rich. I think Cohen’s opening statement said it all about Trump: "He is a racist. He is a con man. He is a cheat." Big surprise huh! We already know that. Cohen isn't expecting a pardon - that's why he spilled the beans so artfully about election fraud, tax evasion, bank fraud, insurance fraud, and more, and said that other investigations exist that he can’t talk about. Uh oh! And how about the threatening letters Trump had Cohen send to the schools he went to warning them not to release his grades or SAT scores. This is the "stable genius" who attacked Obama for not releasing his grades! One thing’s for sure - Congress now has a dynamite witness and evidence list which will prove Cohen told the truth. The most important things to remember are that Trump has committed crimes since he’s been in office, and that Cohen overheard a phone call Trump had with Roger Stone about the WikiLeaks email dump which means Trump knew in advance. Remember "Russia if you're listening?" So Trump may have lied about it in his written answers to Robert Mueller. Another crime while in office! And Trump's tax returns will definitely be subpoenaed, thanks to AOC for teeing that up like a boss! And with all this and more the scumbag Republicans continue to protect Trump! Despicable! Everything Cohen is going to prison for Trump is just as guilty of. Lock him up! Lock them all up!
